Duane Forsyth joined Kemp & Associates as a candidate legal practitioner and on completion of his articles, was appointed as an Associate in the Collections and General Litigation Department. He is committed to delivering strategic and effective legal solutions with a strong focus on client advocacy and has a keen eye for detail.
In his spare time, Duane stays active and healthy, believing that physical fitness enhances both personal well-being and professional performance
Kaylynne completed her articles and was admitted as Attorney of the High Court in 2023. She practised as an Attorney in Paarl and joined Kemp and Associates in 2024. Kaylynne currently employed in our litigation department tends to debt collection at the firm.
Reyaaz works in the Litigation department at Kemp & Associates specializing in Vehicle Asset Finance, Foreclosure and General Litigation department.
He completed his LLB degree at Stellenbosch University in 2020.Thereafter, he joined the firm as a Candidate Attorney at Kemp & Associates in October 2021 and completed his articles in October 2023.
He was then admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Reyaaz has extensive knowledge in litigation proceedings and tends to matters in the Magistrate’s Court and High Court, while also having a keen interest in sports law with a view at furthering the careers of young sports stars.
Jamie joined Kemp & Associates as a Candidate Legal Practitioner in 2022 where he completed his Practical Vocational Training. He was admitted as an Attorney in the Western Cape High Court in May 2024 and appointed as an Associate at Kemp & Associates.
Jamie rotated through the various departments at Kemp & Associates during his Practical Vocational Training and gained valuable experience, practical skills, and knowledge during this time. He was appointed as an Associate in the Debt Review department of the firm.
Elaine was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2007 and as an Attorney with Right of Appearance in the High Court in 2011. In 2014, she was appointed as a Commissioner of the Small Claims Court in Kuils River.
Elaine joined Kemp & Associates (previously Smuts Kemp & Smal) in 2011 as an Attorney and Conveyancer, tending to all bank-related conveyancing matters. She furthered her studies, focusing on financial planning and deceased estates as well as property development.
Elaine’s focus is on business strategy and future growth of the firm.
Pieter joined Kemp & Associates in 2018 as a Candidate Attorney. He was admitted as an Attorney in the High Court in 2019 and appointed as a Director at Kemp & Associates in 2021.
Pieter heads the Collections and General Litigation department and tends to collections and general litigation on behalf of financial institutions and municipalities, as well as personal injury claims on behalf of private individuals.
Chantal completed her articles at Kemp & Associates (previously Smuts Kemp & Smal). Chantal was admitted as an Attorney in 2006 and continued her employment as an Associate, gaining her Right of Appearance in the High Court in 2008.
Chantal manages the firm’s operations and has extensive experience in litigation. Her expertise includes foreclosures, collections, and insolvency matters.
She started as a Candidate Attorney at Kemp & Associates in February 2018, where she also completed her articles. She was then admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2020 and appointed as an Associate at Kemp & Associates.
Violah gained valuable experience in debt review, debt collections, deceased estates and property-related matters.
In 2021, she was appointed as one of the Directors of the firm. Her current practice areas are Debt Review, Vehicle Asset Recovery and Foreclosure.
Darren completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of South Africa in 2010 and completed his articles in 2012. He was admitted as an Attorney and obtained his Rights of Appearance in the High Court in 2013.
Darren joined Kemp & Associates as an Associate in 2016 to head the Debt Review and Vehicle Asset Finance Recovery departments and was promoted in 2018 to include the Foreclosure department. Darren has extensive knowledge of the National Credit Act and regularly acts on behalf of financial institutions in debt review and litigation proceedings.
Darren also has a general litigation practice and tends to Magistrate’s Court and High Court litigation.
In May 2021, Darren was appointed as a Director of Kemp & Associates. He currently assists with the marketing and client management strategy of the firm.
Samantha was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2013 and a Notary Public in 2017, and obtained her Right of Appearance in the High Court in 2018. She joined Kemp & Associates in 2014 and specialises in all aspects of property law. She completed a Certificate in Compliance Management at the University of Cape Town and is well-placed to assess risk and general compliance with applicable legislation.
In addition, she has experience in the administration of deceased estates and fiduciary services, which has proven to be a great attribute to her practice and influenced her decision to enrol for a Post-graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, which she is currently in the process of completing.
